2025 Member & Volunteer Appreciation Event

WMPMI is a volunteer-led organization, committed to advancing the science and practice of project management across Western Michigan. Since our humble beginnings with 26 members, we've grown to nearly 1,000 strong. Through professional development events, workshops, networking, and outreach, we support and elevate the project management community. Our leadership team, comprised of a volunteer board including a president, seven vice presidents, and 17 directors, ensures the project management community stays connected and continue to serve with purpose.
Last week marked a major milestone for WMPMI. For the first time in over a decade, we came together in person to celebrate the incredible people who fuel our chapter—our dedicated members, generous sponsors, and tireless volunteers. The evening of May 21 was made all the more special by our setting: the Grand Rapids Public Museum. Surrounded by exhibits that highlight the rich history, culture, and innovation of our community, we gathered to reflect, reconnect, and recognize the power of collaboration and commitment.
From the moment guests arrived, the museum’s atmosphere infused the event with a sense of wonder and excitement. Whether exploring the exhibits, sharing stories beneath the museum’s iconic whale, or simply enjoying the company of peers, attendees embraced the spirit of learning and connection. The night was full of meaningful conversations, laughter, and the joy of being together again - bingo cards in hand, new connections made, and memories created.
