Session Title: Being a Project Manager in an Agile World

If you're a project manager moving from waterfall to agile environments, do you feel like a square peg in a round hole, or an old dog learning new tricks?  Well, the hole isn't so round, and the tricks aren't all new.  In this session, Dave uses his experience as a project manager, scrum master, and SAFe RTE to talk about transferable skills and traditional project-management talents and activities that are critical in an agile environment.

About the Speaker:

Dave has over thirty-five years of enterprise IT experience across multiple industries, leading teams and projects in agile, waterfall, and hybrid environments.  He recently spent several years focused on the SAFe method, guiding agile transformation and leading agile project teams.  Dave received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Michigan Technological University, and his Master of Science in Technical Management at The Johns Hopkins University.  He is a current PMP and has earned Certified Scrum Master and several SAFe certifications.
