Session 1:  THEProject 2024 Competition Scenario

Student teams will develop a community event day based on the Lake Michigan shore which highlights Michigan natural resources and Military services via demonstrations, information sessions and contests for attendees! Learn more about THEProject 2024 competition and download the details here

Session 2: Charting the Corporate Course: Career Reflections 

Guest speaker David Johnson will share his professional experiences charting the corporate landscape, sharing stories and personal reflections from his career. Dave will also share insights and lessons learned, including these three topics from his career journey.

1. Lessons learned along the way from Engineer to Project Manager to Program Manager running a $300M portfolio.
2. Cautions – Don’t make the same mistakes I did...
3. Encouragements – Hints to get out of the gate a little quicker…

Guest Speaker - David C. Johnson, PMP

David is a Senior Program Manager for L3Harris in Grand Rapids.  He has direct P&L responsibility for the Displays product line totaling about $80M in annual sales and has cross functional impact for a total $350M in revenue.  He has been at L3 Harris for 6 years in which time, the business out of the Grand Rapids site has quadrupled.  Prior to L3Harris, Dave was in Program, Product, and Engineering Management at GE Aviation for 15 years.
